Trained and Mentored the Consolidated Fielding
Center S-6 Section of the Afghan National Army. Performed computer user
training and software application training, instructs on how to write staff
and coordinate a Command Signal Annex to an Operational Order, Instructed on
how to identify and configure antennas to maximize operational range and
minimize interference, serves as primary communications expert for the
Combined Fielding Center (CFC) elements, ensured operations, maintenance and
security of computer networks, provide instruction on knowledge regarding
radio installations, ensures operations, maintenance, and security of
computer networks, provide phone and desktop technical services, software
testing, phone line and network maintenance, and information management,
provide the Coalition and Afghan National Army Communications Officer on the
operation planning process. Acts as the Information Management Officer for
the CFC Coalition Staff of over 300 personnel and over 140 NIPR, 40 CXI and 8
SIPR Computer systems. Performed daily functions of computer, network and
software management for the site and end users. Troubleshot software, hardware
and peripheral equipment issues. Used Active Directory to manage computer
logins, Account Status, User Rights and workstations. Documented, tracked,

Information Technology Help desk and Computer Literacy Course Adviser,

Advised and mentored the Afghan leadership of
the Kabul Military Training Center G6 consisting of 26 personel in the areas
of doctrine, organization, training, leadership development, personnel
management, planning and current operations. Develop, request, and implement
necessary changes to lesson plans, POIs, and the Tashkeil to keep the Kabul
Military Training Center G6 ahead of all operational requirements, new
equipment issues, and the current operating environment. Improve the ability
of the staff to execute its daily operations by utilizing the principles of
troop leading procedures. Continuously improve the effectiveness of training
by utilizing a systematic approach to proposing updates to POIs. Developed
administrative tools to assist in the accurate tracking and training of
Afghan National Army Soldiers. Instructed and taught afghan Soldiers how to
run a Computer Help Desk to support over 400 customers.

Signal organization tasked with establishing critical communications assets
in support of worldwide combat operations. Perform personnel management
functions to include evaluating the performance of subordinate supervisors.
Analyze organizational training needs and prepare and deliver professional
development training for junior and senior leaders. Manage manpower strength
& utilization, workforce development, and employee relations programs.
Prepare policies and procedures to execute mission requirements utilizing
operational risk assessment & management expertise. Network with
headquarters elements in the development of strategic, operational, and
logistical plans.
Special Projects Manager - NCO in Charge
(NCOIC) / E-8 Master Sergeant MOS 25W, Base Support Battalion North,
Department of Public Works, Camp Buehring, Kuwait, 12/08-10/09
As a Project Manager and the leading member of
the Installation Support Projects Board, supported the Directorate and Deputy
Directorate in the management and procurement of materiel for daily camp
operations, including the storage, resourcing, and distribution of government
property valued at over $5M. As a Contract Officer Representative, closely
coordinated the development, oversight, control, and evaluation of contracts
utilized to procure supplies and services. Evaluated and resolved issues with
contractor performance. Performed additional duties as the Information
Management Officer (IMO) for the Department of Public Works, installed
peripheral printers and equipment, trained equipment operators and installed
IAVA patches and software.
First Sergeant MOS 25W, Support Battalion
North, Camp Buehring, Kuwait and Camp Stone Heart, Afghanistan, 01/08-12/08
Mentored over 100 enlisted personnel. Created
workforce development, manpower utilization, and resource management plans.
Directed high-risk operations and maintenance, logistics, training, administration,
risk management, and safety programs. Coordinated multi-faceted operations
and resolved operational issues. Authored and delivered status briefs to
executive staff. Coached subordinate managers, instructors, and junior
officers on the art of administration and leading effectively. Orchestrated
the re-deployment of 40 soldiers from Kuwait to Afghanistan for a
time-constrained, Department of the Army-directed signal mission supporting
CSTC-A. Provided guidance for unusual situations that did not have clear
precedence and utilized career experience to aggressively analyze and resolve
operational problems in an austere and hostile environment. Championed all
administrative and logistic support activities for deployed soldiers.
Expertly crafted four separate units into a
cohesive, organized, and mission-oriented Signal team that was ready to
redeploy to Afghanistan from Kuwait.
Personally mentored other First Sergeants,
ensured all soldiers were adequately trained for deployment, supervised,
planned all critical individual, team and collective training requirements.
Provided round-the-clock counseling to many
soldiers experiencing personal and professional difficulties ensuring they
were able to accomplish the mission assigned.
Retrained 40 camp life support soldiers to
prepare for a communications mission in support of the Combined Security
Transition Commands security and anti-terrorism objectives in Afghanistan.

readiness rate during the entire deployment.

In addition to personnel and operational
management duties, fielded $25M worth of military communications equipment,
including the preparation of New Equipment Training for commanders and end
users and as part of the fielding plan for the State of Ohio. Planned,
resourced, supervised and executed the Brigade
Joint Network Node (JNN) training and equipment validation exercises ensuring
Soldiers were proficient at their skills and the unit was able to perform
their duties. Performed duties as the unit IMO.
Increased unit readiness from 0% when the unit
was newly formed to over 75% within a 12-month period.
Selected as the Brigade Readiness NCO of the
Year for superior knowledge and administrative skills.
Operations NCO and Battalion S-6 Communications
NCO / E-7 Sergeant First Class MOS 25U, Headquarters, Kettering OH, and
Headquarters Company 2-107th Cavalry, Hamilton, OH, 12/01-07/06
Directed administrative, training, and
logistical activities for 184 soldiers. Trained soldiers on the maintenance
and operation of a wide variety of military communications equipment,
including SINCGARS, XTS-3000, Harris radios, Blue Force Tracker, tactical
antennae and computer systems, and communications security (COMSEC)
equipment, manpack and vehicular mounted VHF and HF Radio Systems, Satellite
phones, cellular phones, frequency management, Communications infrastructure and
oversaw the Battalion and Brigade TOC Operations. Managed over $16M in
equipment. Trained end users on assigned equipment. Performed duties as the
unit IMO.
Hailed as being undeniably the most competent
Signal NCO in the Brigade, resulting in selection as the Readiness NCO for a
newly formed Signal Company.
Designated as Senior Trainer during the
fielding of SINCGARS to the Brigade, supervised and directed the Brigade
communications equipment fielding and vehicular equipment installations.
Performed duties as the Battalion S-6 NCOIC,
COMSEC NCO and Systems Administrator for the Brigades NIPR and SIPR Computer
Networks while on deployment to Kosovo; ensured the Brigade was able to
communicate effectively throughout the theater of operations using SINGARS,
Blue Force Tracker, EPLRS and retransmission stations.
Deployed a group in support of Hurricane
Katrina relief operations within a 48-hour time period; delivered
communications assets to five organizations spread throughout a 240 square
kilometer operating area and maintained a 95% communications readiness
rating.
Supply (Logistics) Sergeant and Company
Communications NCO / E-6 Staff Sergeant MOS 25U, Headquarters and
Headquarters Company, 147th Armor, Cincinnati, OH, 11/00-12/01
As Supply (logistics) Sergeant with assigned
unit strength of 194 soldiers; maintained a property book with a value of
over $124M with over 250 line items. Analyzed and developed methods to
improve the logistical support and tracking for assigned military
communications equipment, signal and electronic systems. Supervised the
maintenance and operation of communications equipment installed in 36 M1A2
Abram tanks and assigned wheeled vehicles to include retransmission
equipment, tactical antennae, computer systems, and COMSEC equipment. Planned
and executed a FM tactical radio networks to support the units mission.
Maintained and ensured all communications equipment was fully mission capable
for all tank gunnery ranges.
Personal standards of equipment accountability
resulted in a Transfer of Command without incident.
Praised for having an uncanny ability to get
professional results from inexperienced soldiers.
Organized, planned and executed the Battle
Simulation Exercise for the unit resulting in the in the highest communications
rating among all participating units.
